More than 1.4 billion people worldwide have no access to clean, safe energy sources. Families spend a substantial proportion of their income on polluting fossil fuels to provide poor quality lighting and unreliable power, and indoor air pollution kills nearly 2 million people every year – mainly women and children.  Renewable World is a registered charity which tackles poverty in developing countries by providing affordable renewable energy solutions for remote communities.  Our projects light up homes, schools and clinics; energy stimulates trade and enterprise; clean water is pumped to households for washing, cleaning and cooking, and to fields for crop irrigation.

Provence Promotion, the economic development agency for Marseille-Provence, was set up to provide free assistance to both French and foreign companies relocating to the region:

fluXXion is a Dutch clean technology company applying proven manufacturing technology from the semiconductor industry, to the design and manufacture of unique filtration and separation products for bulk liquid filtration markets and chemical separation markets. The company has closed several contracts with leading industrial partners to develop, integrate and market the technology. The first full scale filtration plant is in operation at a large cheese factory with an annual capacity of 40 000 tons. A demo-unit for a chemicals stripping unit is commissioned at this moment and will be fully operational before the end of 2010.
